Awake Youth
As we all know being a Christian isn’t a piece of cake, it’s hard and especially in the world where we live, in our school, work etc.. We have all been through tough situations. Especially the youth is struggling with this. It’s not always easy to express yourself as a young Christian. That’s why Awake organized 2 awesome projects and it’s called F.A.C.T. & ACTIVE (Click on the logo F.A.C.T. or ACTIVE for more information).
Why do this?
The youth is our main goal ... aren't they the great leaders of tomorrow? Yes they are! Therefore we feel it's our calling to invest in the youth. Nowadays when the youth talks about the words 'Church' & 'Christian', it's common to think it's old school, its boring, it's for old people, to much rules etc.. For those who think like that: We are here to prove you wrong! We are here to show you being Christian isn't boring! We want to show you that a life together with Jesus is the most exciting life you could ever possibly dream of in this world to experience. We will show God's love for you and prove/tell you He is NOT dead, He is alive and He only wants the best for his children.
Finding new friends/Fellowship
Who doesn't want to have friends? Maybe you say you don't, but we all know deep down we need one. Coming to F.A.C.T. or ACTIVE will defenitly be a must if you seek friends, not only are you going to find friends in your local area but also abroad! Back in Bognor in England we have a sister church where we regulary go for a visit to have some fellowship and to get to know each other better.
Unity
Not only will we be friends among the youth, it will be more than that. We will be like family, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. (Romans 12:5). Whenever you have a problem, we will talk and pray about it in the group. Is it a more personal question/struggling? Then we will go private and talk about it.
